AB Sourcing and Trading (ABST) was originally established in 2022 in Bangladesh by partners Probir Barua and Mohammad Ruhul Amin. The company was founded with a vision to create a reliable global sourcing and trading network, offering “anything and everything” — true to the meaning of Alpha Business Sourcing Trading.
Mohammad Ruhul Amin, a Bangladeshi Merchant Ship Captain and UK citizen, later expanded the business internationally by founding AB Sourcing and Trading UK Ltd. His extensive global exposure and strong connections with merchants, traders, manufacturers, and suppliers have significantly strengthened the company’s international reach.
Probir Barua, an engineer and former naval officer of Bangladesh, brings technical expertise and operational discipline to the company, specializing in global sourcing and commodity trading.
As the company expanded into the Middle East, Kamruzzaman Khandaker joined the group by establishing AB Sourcing Trading and Brokerage in Qatar. With over 15 years of business experience in Qatar, he has built a strong network with investors, refineries, quarries, and industrial stakeholders, particularly in industrial raw materials and energy resources.
To further strengthen the group’s global presence, especially in the financial and consultancy sectors, Masood Memon established ABST Consultancy and Trading LLC in New Jersey, USA. An IT professional with deep expertise in the financial sector, he brings modern, technology-driven insights and strategic financial capabilities to the organization.
